Giulia Sandri serves as Scientific Advisor at the EU Liaison Office of the Université libre de Bruxelles and as Associate Research Fellow at the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the same university. From 2012 to 2024, she was an Associate Professor in Political Science at the Catholic University of Lille, France, where she directed the ESPOL-LAB Research Centre for European and International Politics and the Master in Digital Politics and Governance. Sandri is a Co-Convenor of the PSA’s Technology, Internet, and Policy Specialist Group (TIP), Science Communication Coordinator and Management Committee Member in the COST Action CA23114 - Digital technologies improving civic engagement and democracy and plays an active role (WP leader and researcher) in the Horizon Europe project ACTEU, which aims to foster European citizens' trust amid crises and polarization (2023–2026). Additionally, she co-chairs the Digital Parties Network. Her research interests encompass AI policy, AI and democracy, comparative politics, and political behavior. Sandri’s recent publications appear in journals such as Information, Communication & Society, Minds and Machines, and Journal of Elections, Public Opinion and Parties.
