Madalina Botan is a Senior Lecturer in media research studies and political communication at the National University of Political Science and Administration (SNSPA) with a background in sociology and political studies. From 2011 till 2016 she has been the managing director of the Centre for Research in Communication affiliated to the same university. Starting with 2017 Madalina Botan has also started collaborating with the London based Lear2Think Foundation, on projects dedicated to media literacy and critical thinking in education and run in partnership with The Guardian Foundation, UK. From 2015 till 2019 she has also been part of Majoritas Institute, a spin-off of Majoritas Global, a political communication consultancy whose goal was to harness the potential of new technologies in order to redesign political campaigning and allocate campaign budgets more effectively. Managing Majoritas Institute involved working with mixed teams of politicians, strategists, campaigners, researchers and scholars in order deliver custom-made campaign tools. In this capacity Madalina Botan has coordinated numerous trainings and workshops for countries such as Romania, Ghana, the Philippines, Kosovo, Serbia, Dominican Republic and Panama.
