Stephen Hutchings is Professor of Russian Studies and Fellow of the UK's Academy of Social Sciences. He has published six monographs and five edited volumes on aspects of Russian literary, film and media studies with presses including Cambridge University Press, Cornell University Press and Routledge, as well as articles in journals ranging from Television and New Media, Journalism, and European Journal of Cultural Studies, to Slavic Review. His most recent book is Projecting Russia in a Mediatized World: Recursive Nationhood (New York: Routledge, 2022). He has held 7 AHRC research grants since 2000 and has recently won an 8th for a project on disinformation as a translingual dynamic. He was President of the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies from 2010-2013.
