As a university lecturer/researcher in AI, machine learning, control engineering and telecommunications, Winston has demonstrated a unique ability for project-based teaching and learning, and leading student groups in novel innovation research activities. This skill has allowed him to co-create innovative solutions to complex challenges.Winston is an exceptional communicator, adept at translating technical concepts into accessible language for both technical and non-technical audiences, making him a valuable asset in team collaborations, cross-functional projects, and client engagements.Education and certifications have played a significant role in shaping Winston's expertise. He holds a PhD in computer science from the Technical University of Kenya. Besides being a lecturer and researcher at the Technical University of Kenya, Winston is also a senior research fellow and head of digital economy program at the African Center for Technology Studies (ACTS), an inter-governmental think tank in STI policy development, Nairobi, Kenya. He has also been a governing council member of the Meru National Polytechnic, a national TVET institution in Kenya.Outside of digital technology field, Winston is passionate about reading and writing, both factual and fiction works.
