Kathryn leads the IPIE's media and communications work, growing the IPIE’s profile and ensuring its work reaches policy makers and a wider audience. Before working with the IPIE, Kathryn worked with organizations like the Disasters Emergency Committee, the UN Girls Education Initiative, and Team Halo (a UN digital campaign to tackle Covid vaccine hesitancy and misinformation during the pandemic).

After an early career as journalist, Kathryn spent 15 years working in communications and advocacy teams at human rights organizations and humanitarian relief and international development agencies.

Kathryn studied Politics and Sociology at the University of Bristol.
